Weekly recap posts (Pro)

PinPortal can turn every weekly import into a ready-to-share blog post: standings movement, the team of the night, high scores, perfect games, milestone scores, and the bowler who most beat their average. Bowler names link to their profile pages and the league name links to its league page, and the week’s TV score board becomes the post’s featured image. This is a Pro feature.

Turning it on

Go to League Management → Settings → Weekly recap posts and pick a mode:

  • Off: nothing happens automatically; you can still generate recaps with the button below.
  • Create a draft after each import: a recap draft appears after each league’s new week imports, for you to review and publish.
  • Publish automatically: fully hands-off; the post goes live the moment the import finishes.

Generating one manually

On Manage Leagues, click the megaphone icon on any league to generate (or refresh) the recap for its latest week. The post opens in a new tab so you can review and share it.

Good to know

  • There is exactly one post per league week: re-importing the same week updates the existing post instead of creating a duplicate.
  • If you’ve edited a recap by hand, automatic updates leave it alone. (The manual button does refresh it, since that’s an explicit request.)
  • Bulk and historical imports never create posts: only a league’s current week, and only when its date is recent.
  • Leagues hidden from the public site get no recaps, and hidden bowlers never appear in recap text.
  • Posts land in the League Recaps category with the league name as a tag, so you can list them anywhere with a standard category/tag widget.
